Each year, the generosity of Dalton parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, staff and friends allows us to create exceptional opportunities and experiences for our students. Dalton welcomes your support to ensure ongoing excellence in developing intellectually independent, creative and curious students. Whether you are considering a gift to the Annual Fund that makes an immediate impact, or an endowed gift to the Campaign that lasts for generations, your contribution to Dalton serves as a catalyst for change and empowers the next generation of Dalton students to Go Forth Unafraid.
This section explores the many ways you can contribute to the School. Giving what you can is important since every gift makes a difference; 100% participation in the Annual Fund and Senior Class Gift is our goal. We thank you for your support of Dalton!
The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all giving to Dalton and supports the ongoing day-to-day operational expenses of the School. It allows us to attract and retain talented faculty, provide exceptional academic, arts and athletic programs, and offer meaningful scholarship opportunities. CENTENNIAL: RAISE THE ROOF CAMPAIGN
With the School’s 100th birthday celebration approaching in April 2019, Dalton has embarked on an ambitious $100 million Centennial: Raise the Roof Campaign
. Co-chairs are Cheryl Cohen Effron ’83, Eric Lee, Bruce Menin and Sabrina Smith.
This comprehensive campaign will support the addition of two floors atop the 89th Street building to house a state-of-the-art STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) facility. The new space will include large, flexible areas for collaborative work, group meetings, science fairs and art exhibits, a design project lab, teaching kitchen, and green house.
The campaign will also fund the reconfiguration and renovation of all existing floors at 89th Street. Plans call for a 21st century library and modernized performance space for our dance program. In addition, the campaign will provide programmatic support for new and existing initiatives.
We are currently in the early phase of our fundraising efforts for this exciting and transformative project. Our results to date have been highly successful, and we hope to continue along this positive trajectory in the months and years ahead.
