Giving to DaltonThe Dalton School, like all non-profit independent schools, colleges and universities, relies on both tuition and charitable gifts to support its ongoing operations and priorities. The generosity of Dalton Community members and friends helps the school to minimize tuition increases and to maintain Dalton's standing as one of the finest and most respected schools in the country.
The school raises money for the Annual Fund, the Endowment, and for specific capital (i.e., building) projects: Annual Giving - The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all giving at Dalton. It supports the ongoing day-to-day operational expenses of the school, contributing a crucial 10% to the annual operating budget. Gifts to the Annual Fund are expended during the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) in which they are raised. For more information about the Annual Fund please contact Hannah Wasserman at hwasserman@dalton.org or (212) 423-5316. Go Forth Unafraid: The Campaign for Dalton - In addition to a yearly gift to the Annual Fund, many members of the community choose to make a pledge to the Campaign, typically spread out over 3 to 5 years. The Campaign supports the school’s Strategic Plan and will allow for important new opportunities going forward. For more information about the Campaign please contact Sally Vallimarescu at svallimarescu@dalton.org or (212) 423-5245.
