The computer science team won the National All Star contest sponsored by the American Computer Science League (ACSL). The contest was held at Emmaus HS, Emmaus, PA on Saturday, May 28. Students participating in this event were Brandon Duick (12), Matthew Sills (11) and Ted Spaide (12). This is the second time Dalton has won this national contest. The previous win was in 1998. This ends a very active computer science team year. The team won 2 other contests sponsored by Siena College and Mercy College. The team placed 2nd at Providence College and 3rd at The University of Pennsylvania. In addition the team won the Metropolitan Division of the ACSL in 4 contests held throughout the year.
