Basketball Teams Selected for NYSAIS Tournament
Congratulations to the Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball teams as they were selected for the NYSAIS Tournament. Boys Basketball qualifies as the #7 seed with an opening-round game against Poly Prep on Wednesday, February 19 at 7:00 PM. The Girls Basketball team was seeded 4th after an 18-5 season and awaits the winner of Packer Collegiate and Poly Prep on Thursday, February 20 at 5:00 PM.

Swimming The Dalton Varsity Swim team competed in the Ivy League Championship trials and finals last week with both Boys and Girls teams taking 6th place respectively. Dalton was represented well at the Ivy Championships with several top finishes and several school records broken at the meet. For the Boys, junior Tyler Roonprapunt broke the school record in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 51.16, finishing 5th overall. On the Girls side, senior Claire Jiang broke the record in the 100 Backstroke (1:01.7) finishing second overall and in the 200 IM (2:16.84), taking third overall. Sophomore Alyssa Fan broke school records in both the 50 freestyle (25.15) and the 100 Butterfly (59.61) taking third place overall in each event. The Girls 200 medley relay team of senior Claire Jiang, junior Tsering Yanchen, sophomore Alyssa Fan, and eight-grader Jaimie Li broke yet another school record as well, finishing in a time of 1:56.58, taking second place at the meet. Ten swimmers will be continuing on with their seasons representing Dalton at the NYSAIS Swim Invitational at Horace Mann on February 24 and 25.
