Dalton Tiger Report - This Week In Athletics (4-19)
Read about how the Athletics teams are staying connected and in shape!
Despite the challenges of a remote learning experience and the understandable disappointment of the cancellation of the Spring season, Dalton's Spring teams have managed how to both stay in shape and engage with teammates and coaches.
Teams have adopted a variety of strategies and technologies to stay connected and in shape, including weekly workouts held on Zoom so everyone can workout together and continue to bond as a team.
Additionally, both the Baseball and Girls Lacrosse teams were able to connect with professional athletes on Zoom. Girls Lacrosse heard from Kylie Ohlmiller, a legend in Women's Lacrosse for holding the NCAA record for both single-season and career points and assists and a member of the Women's Professional Lacrosse League team, the NY Fight, and Team USA. And the Baseball team listened to Adam Russell, a former major league pitcher of the Chicago White Sox, San Diego Padres, and Tampa Bay Rays, discuss his experiences pitching in the big leagues and the lessons he learned along the way.
