The 2022 Multicultural Festival committee welcomed more than 800 attendees to the First Program’s annual event on April 10. The event highlights Dalton’s diverse community with more than 23 cultures represented at this year’s festival.
This year’s event delivered a familiar environment of creativity, inclusiveness, and high spirits as families reunited in person
to learn about the many rich cultures and traditions that make up the Dalton community.
The event reflected our talented, diverse, and engaged community, where so many groups – parents, students, faculty, staff, relatives, and friends came together to prepare and produce this celebration of cultures.
Little Dalton was miraculously transformed into 23 cultures: African American, Austrian, Australian, Brazilian, Canadian, Caribbean, Chinese, Croatian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Greek, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Jewish-Israeli, Kashmiri, Korean, Mexican, Pakistani, Persian, Puerto Rican, Russian, and Ukrainian.
As First Program families navigated the festival along a mapped route through the colorfully decorated 91st Street facilities, they marveled at the diverse representation of cultures, enjoyed hands-on arts & crafts, viewed exhibits, and participated in an exciting scavenger hunt looking for Ivan the Tiger in each of these cultures!
A special thanks to Dalton’s Multicultural Festival Committee, the First Program Faculty and Staff, Student Volunteers, and the Parents Association for creating a spectacular celebration of Dalton’s diverse community.
