Entrepreneur and Venture Capital Panel Discussion and Networking Event is a Huge Success

The Alumni Council’s Dalton Connects committee kicked off its first Entrepreneur and Venture Capital Panel Discussion and Networking Event at the offices of Cooley, LLP in Hudson Yards on Monday evening, February 27. With record event registrations and Alums in attendance from the Classes of 1977-2015 — and an exciting and diverse list that includes the first 100 active members of the network — the event was a huge success.
The goal was to kick off a vibrant and productive network of Alumni interested in supporting, advising, mentoring, and hiring Dalton Alumni and student entrepreneurs and service providers. Dalton’s Director of Alumni Relations Samantha Koss welcomed and introduced Alumni Council President Joe Franken '03. Dalton Connects Entrepreneur Committee Co-Head Nick Slavin '07 provided background information about the new entrepreneurship network.

Alumni Council Member David Cremin '78 led an exciting panel of Daltonians that included Jean Park P'33, P'35, Cooley LLP (Sponsor), Corporate Partner; Ricky Pellegrini '06, Founder, Web3 Builders; and Zachary Aarons '01, MetaProp Venture Capital. Alumni panelists discussed how the Dalton Plan and curriculum prepared them uniquely for the entrepreneurial journey and how professional networks, through Dalton and beyond, inspired and supported them along the way.

Answering the call to action, attendees committed to being active members of this entrepreneurship network and a resource for Dalton Alumni and students now and into the future. Dalton intends to grow this national network with more exciting activities and events. The bigger the network, the more vibrant and productive it will be, so if you are interested in joining the network, please reach out to alumni@dalton.org, and let’s get you involved!

Thank you to Cooley LLP for hosting the event and providing refreshments.
