Dalton Wrestling lost a competitive match against Horace Mann on Wednesday, January 10. The team’s 42-48 loss brings its record to 3-2 in league play, which makes it second overall in the Ivy Preparatory League. Despite the team’s defeat, Jake Intrater (‘19) and Sam Kim (‘18) both won their matches, with Intrater pinning both of his opponents. He commented, “We wrestled a tough team and they matched up well against us. Every single match was highly contested and ultimately they came out with a narrow win. We are excited to see them at Ivy’s and states.” Captain Jonah Ryan (‘18) recognized the difficulty the team had, but he believes that the loss will help them improve for the future. He said, “it wasn’t a great day for [us] on the mats, but we [have] a lot of thing[s] we can work on in practice to make sure we beat our opponents in our coming matches.”
