Dalton Tiger Report - This Week In Athletics (4-14)

The Track and Field season kicked off with the team traveling to Hackley for the first Ivy League Developmental meet. The Boys Team had a particularly strong day finishing among the top competitors in numerous events. Senior Zach Love finished first in the 100 Meter Dash and Long Jump, sophomore Daniel Simmons finished first in the 400 Meter Dash, while juniors Ravi Eaton (800 Meters) and Dale Dolan-Zalaznick (High Jump) both finished second in their respective events. Additionally, the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams placed first overall.

On the Girls side, freshman Solange Sylvain finished first n the 400 Meter Hurdles while juniors Toni DaCosta and Lauren Franco finished among the top in the 1600 Meter Dash with DaCosta placing 3rd and Franco placing 4th overall. The team looks forward to a series of developmental meets over the next few weeks before the PSAA Championships on May 2, the Ivy Championships on May 19, and the NYSAIS Championships on May 22.
