Read about some of the great performances and highlights from the past week. This week features Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, and Track and Field.
Boys Lacrosse

The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team entered the week at 4-3 in the Ivy League, with key matchups coming against Horace Mann, and undefeated Hackley. On Wednesday the Team beat Horace Mann 14-6. Senior Nick Lipsher continued his outstanding season, scoring 5 of the team’s goals. On Friday, the team played league-leading Hackley and lost 8-5. Senior goalie Ezra Shin played an excellent game against Hackley’s stellar attack, but the team was stifled offensively in an incredibly physical game. The team next plays Fieldston on Wednesday, May 8 as they look to get back on track.

Girls Lacrosse

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team entered the week in their best form of the season after beating Spence last Friday. The team first played Nightingale on Monday. Despite a spirited performance and some great attacking play, they fell 11-9. Sophomore Lauren Friedman continued her excellent season with three goals in this game. Next, they faced Horace Mann on Wednesday. Again, the team played very well but lost a close game 12-10. Junior Hannah Levin said, “It’s frustrating because we have been playing really well, but just not getting the results.” The team hopes to continue their strong play, and look for a win next Wednesday against Fieldston.
