Amidst the high energy that characterizes the first day of school, the Dalton community also enjoyed a visual treat -- one-of-a-kind Centennial exhibits displayed in all three buildings.
In the Big Dalton lobby, "A History of Dalton in 101 Objects" debuted. In this crowdsourced initiative, Alumni, Students, Faculty and Staff suggested objects that they felt helped to tell Dalton's story. Each object is now on display -- be sure to take a look! Over at the First Program's East Lobby, every surface (walls, ceiling and floor) are blanketed with Centennial tiles made by Dalton's own creative community members. See if you can find your tile in this immersive art installation. Over at the Phys. Ed. Center, the big entrance stairwell now doubles as an exhibit. Each riser is decorated with cute, cheerful, emoji-style icons representing sports played at Dalton.
Coming Soon - The Centennial website and at 89th Street: The Dalton History Staircase exhibit and The Alumni Staircase exhibit!
