Model Congress Teams Continue to Be Victorious

Harvard Model Congress, founded in 1986, attracted more than 1,000 students from dozens of schools around the world. Each delegate participated in government simulations with committee jurisdictions ranging from “Foreign Relations” and “Environment and Public Works” to the “National Governors’ Association.” The conference formally recognized Dalton delegates for their individual performances including, 21 individual awards won by 25 students. Fifteen Dalton delegates received Best Delegate award in their committee, the highest concentration of gavels that the team has earned this year.

This was the third major conference that the Dalton Model Congress team attended this year. The previous two, Princeton and Yale, were also resounding successes. At Princeton, the Dalton team captured the James Madison Award for Best Large Delegation, while at Yale, an extraordinary 17 of 23 Dalton attendees won individual awards; the team also took home the Best Delegation Award. The 21 awards captured by Dalton’s 25 delegates are a testament to delegates’ tremendous personal growth, and the leadership of club heads Henry Carroll'19, Abby Cohen'19, and Reddy Lee'19.
