Golf

The Varsity Golf team had an important week, with key matchups against Hackley and Poly Prep. On Wednesday, the team took on Hackley, the league’s two-time defending champions. Despite solid performances from Junior Marshall Miller and Senior Sabrina de Gunzburg, the team fell 8-1 to a strong Hackley team. The next day they traveled to Dyker Beach Golf Course to play Poly Prep. Both teams entered the match struggling in the early season. Dalton squeaked out a 5-4 victory behind sophomore Marcus Lewis' low round of 43. The team next plays Hackley away on Tuesday, April 30.

Tennis

On Wednesday, The Varsity Boys Tennis team traveled to Fieldston looking for their second win of the season. Although the team has struggled to find victories so far in the league they have been competitive in almost every match. Freshman Hudson Beaudoin continued his impressive start to the season winning his match at the number 1 position and improving to 4-0 on the season. Freshman Teddy Benchley and Senior captain Justin Taub also had an exciting match but came up just short at first Doubles as they lost in a tiebreaker in the third set. “I think we are almost there,” said Taub, “I feel like we are really close to breaking through and winning some games. Things just haven’t gone our way.” The team hopes to find success in their next match on Monday, April 29 at Hackley.
