Boys Varsity Soccer

The Boys Varsity Soccer team has been in excellent form lately, having not lost a game in almost a month. After a disappointing draw against Fieldston who sits atop the Ivy League, they traveled to Hackley on Monday, October 7. Thanks to an early goal from junior Dylan Taub, the team came away with a 1-0 win. Then, on Friday, October 11, the team traveled away for a challenging game against a strong Poly Prep team. After a scoreless first half, senior captain Marshall Miller regained possession in the middle of the field, drove at the defense and slipped a ball through to junior Dylan Taub. Taub finished with aplomb giving Dalton the lead. And after another late goal from Taub, the team finished the game 2-0 putting Dalton in third place just one point back of Trinity in 3rd place, with their next game coming against Riverdale on Wednesday, October 16.

Girls Varsity Soccer

Last Friday, the Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Fieldston for an important league game. After an incredibly hard-fought game, Dalton grabbed the winner, and eventually won 3-2. This win put them into third place in the league. The team then had their game against Hackley rescheduled, so they traveled to Poly Prep on Friday for their next game who currently is in first place in the league coming into the game with six wins and just one draw. After trailing early Dalton fought back at the end of the game but eventually fell 2-4. The team next travels to take on second place Riverdale on Wednesday, October 16.
