Dalton Families Team Up with City Harvest to Combat Hunger in NYC
At an after-school event sponsored by the Parent Association's Community Service Committee on Monday, October 21, the Dalton community teamed up with City Harvest to learn about how to help combat hunger in New York City. More than 50 parents and students assembled snack packs from donated and rescued food. Approximately 400 students in the New York City area received these packs. In addition, after watching a brief video presentation about the issue of food insecurity, the group had a better understanding of how they can address this issue after the event.
