Scholastic Announces Dalton Award Winners in Art and Writing

The annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards recognized 33 Dalton students for their excellence in Photography, Film & Animation, Drawing & Illustration, Sculpture, Poetry, Critical Essay, Journalism, Personal Essay & Memoir, Short Story, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Humor, and Flash Fiction.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is a series of regional and national competitions; students from across the United States compete in 28 art and writing categories. Each year, leaders in the visual and literary art industries judge approximately 300,000 submissions by criteria such as originality, technical skill, and personal voice or vision.

Dalton students from 7th through 12th grade won an impressive 53 total accolades, including 10 coveted Gold Key awards, which makes students eligible for national-level recognition. Congratulations to all of our Scholastic winners for their deep commitment to creativity and the arts!
