Mandarin Students Enjoyed A Virtual Trip to China!
The pandemic might stop us from traveling abroad, but it could not stop our growing passion and curiosity from exploring the world virtually!
The Mandarin Department was excited to have Tony Chen, the founder of Stretch-A-Leg Travel, join us on Zoom to give Mandarin students (Mandarin 2-4, ACC, and CHS) a virtual tour of Forbidden City, China. Students learned about how the ancient palace was built and the purpose of building it. We saw the ancient palace from the outside and inside the ancient emperor’s office and garden. The wisdom of Chinese technicians, in the application of heated floors and fire hydrants, was impressive even today.
The entire tour was informative and fun, which left us with a lot of wonderful memories and inspiration!
