Dalton’s Model Congress team, led by captains Simrin Mehra ‘23, George Porteous ‘23, and Eli Kronenberg ‘23, traveled to Washington, D.C. to compete at Princeton’s 40th annual conference from November 10-12.
Prepped with three days of bills, notes, and extensive research, the team of 37 competed with students from across the country in simulated congressional committees ranging from Foreign Affairs to Judiciary to Science, Space, and Technology.
Dalton delegates won 26 awards individually, while the team was recognized as the first place “Best Delegation” overall, receiving the conference’s James Madison Award. Notably, eight students won the distinction of Best Delegate in their committee. The team’s hard work was on full display as they received more accolades than any other school.
Next up for Dalton is the Yale Model Congress in December and additional conferences in 2023.
Congratulations to Dalton Model Congress!
