MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL STRING ORCHESTRA TEACHER -- TEMPORARY LEAVE REPLACEMENT
The Dalton School seeks a part-time Middle School and High School String Orchestra Teacher as a temporary leave replacement from March 5 through May 4, 2018.
Classroom teaching responsibilities include 7th/8th Grade String Orchestra and High School (Grades 9-12) String Orchestra. Candidates should possess a high performing level on a string instrument; be comfortable offering technical advice on violin, viola, cello and bass; have experience teaching music to adolescents; and be passionate and knowledgeable about progressive education. Conducting skills are preferred.
We seek teachers who are enthusiastic about working collaboratively to design curriculum that addresses the whole child. A Bachelor’s degree in education or music is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
