With the School’s 100th birthday celebration approaching in April 2019, Dalton has embarked on an ambitious $100 million Centennial: Raise the Roof Campaign. Co-chairs are Cheryl Cohen Effron ’83, Eric J. Lee, Bruce Menin, Tony Meyer '79 and Sabrina Smith.
This comprehensive campaign will support the addition of two floors atop the 89th Street building to house a state-of-the-art STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) facility. The new space will include large, flexible areas for collaborative work, group meetings, science fairs and art exhibits, a design project lab, teaching kitchen, and greenhouse.
The campaign will also fund the reconfiguration and renovation of existing floors at 89th Street. Plans call for a 21st-century library and modernized performance space for our dance program. In addition, the campaign will provide programmatic support for new and existing initiatives.
We are currently in the quiet phase of our fundraising efforts for this exciting and transformative project. Our results to date have been highly successful, and we hope to continue along this positive trajectory in the months and years ahead.
