Jour de la Francophonie

Congratulations to Dalton's Middle and High School French teachers for creating a Journée de la Francophonie, a multi-disciplinary all-day event, held on March 8, 2016. The day began with enthusiastic French students giving out handmade French buttons in front of the school in the morning. The celebration continued with High School French Club sponsored activities and food during Interval, where students built marshmallow Eiffel Towers and competed in word games and a French online trivia game.
At lunch, Grade 6 French 1MS students serenaded their classmates with a rousing French-language song, and Mr. Marc Bendali awarded students for their cooking videos and named a Master Chef!

After school, students and faculty alike were treated to West African craft activities, French language quiz games, and a Quebecois square dance, called by High School Math teacher David Harvey. The students and teachers decorated the cafeteria with flags from the French-speaking world and beautiful student-created posters.

Special thanks to French teachers Ms. Fatima Mhinat, Mr. Marc Bendali, Ms. Tracy Christopher, and Ms. Allison Albino.
