Dalton language teachers joined over one hundred language educators, chairs and heads who came from over 40 independent schools in New York and from other states. The conference took place at the Mohonk Mountain House from Sunday, April 22 to Tuesday, April 24. Teachers participated in workshops, job-alike sessions, and interactive lectures on topics ranging from technology and authentic resources in the language classroom to best practices in teaching languages to students of all ages. The keynote speaker, Dr. Helena Curtain, internationally known author, consultant and visiting professor in the field of language education including immersion and bilingual programs, spoke about “building proficiency with deep and rich instructional strategies.”
