A Pulitzer Prize Worthy Evening

The PA welcomed 2007 Pulitzer Prize recipient, Natasha Trethewey, to a special reading and discussion in the Crane Library on April 19th.
Natasha is the author of three collections of poetry — Domestic Work, Bellocq’s Ophelia, and Native Guard.  Professor of Creative Writing at Emory University, recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and winner of a Pushcart Prize and the Grolier Poetry Prize, Natasha has been Dalton’s visiting scholar this year as part of the Original Mind program.  She has been collaborating with students and faculty in all divisions.  Her work reflects her personal experience of growing up as a bi-racial child in the South, as well as her keen sense of how history, family and race intertwine.
