Marci Klein '84 is a four-time Emmy Award-winning television producer who is best known for her work as executive producer for 30 Rock and producer at Saturday Night Live.

A.J. Jacobs ’86 is the author of three New York Times bestselling memoirs: The Know-It-All (about the year he spent reading the Encyclopedia Britannica from A to Z); The Year of Living Biblically (about his quest to follow all the hundreds of rules of the Bible); and My Experimental Life (about his experiences with radical honesty and outsourcing his life to India). He is editor at large at Esquire magazine and a contributor to NPR. A Dalton alum, he lives with his wife and sons in New York.

Former Dalton parent, Noel Jeffrey is recognized as one of America’s premier interior designers and is widely known for the breadth and versatility of his designs.  His work reflects the range of his experience beginning with formal training at the Pratt Institute and Columbia University and followed by over thirty-five years of continuous professional practice.  He has regularly been selected to participate in the prestigious Kips Bay Boys’ and Girls’ Club and Southampton Showhouses, several times winning House Beautiful’s Top Showcase award for his efforts.  Mr. Jeffrey’s designs have been widely covered in the world’s leading architectural and interior design publications, including Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Metropolitan Home, House Beautiful, Veranda, Traditional Home and House and Garden and Elle Decor.  On television, his appearances as both subject and commentator are familiar to viewers of CNN’s Style, HGTV’s Interiors by Design, and PBS’ Find!  Mr. Jeffrey has been recognized as one of House Beautiful’s Top 125 in American design for the past six years in a row.

Erik Novoa ’91 has been dancing for 21 years, starting with ballet and continuing through jazz, modern dance, musical theatre, tap and, finally in 1998, West Coast Swing. In the years following, he soared through the rankings and has been a top-10 finalist in the US Open three times. Two years after starting West Coast Swing, he also won the national championships for Hustle. He is currently one of the major torches of both dances in the Northeast and in 2006 received the "Best of the Gold Coast" award for Best Way to Get in Step.

Carmino Ravosa is one of the most popular songwriters for schools in America. He is best known for his songs with themes related to American history.  He has performed for U.S. Presidents and is the composer-in-residence and faculty fellow at the prestigious Dalton School in New York City. Formerly, he was composer-in-residence for the Edison Project and its 135 charter schools across the nation. He is an author for Silver Burdett & Ginn's Music textbook series, World of Music and The Music Connection and the composer of the theme musicals in these series. He was a songwriter for the CBS childrens' show Captain Kangaroo, the PBS program Shining Time Station, and also the PBS publication Sesame Street Magazine.

Sisters Jane Steinberg Wagman ’87 & Liz Lange started their careers working at the fashion temple known as Vogue. The sister duo is now hitting the world wide web and sharing their eye for fashion on Shopafrolic.com where they pick out best buys and wonderful fashion finds. From a very young age, it was clear that both of them had inherited their mother’s love of the rush of a great purchase and the thrill of a successful day of shopping.

Mary Stuart Masterson ’84 was raised in New York City and made her film debut at the age of seven in The Stepford Wives. Since then, she has worked with countless great directors and actors on both the stage and screen.  She has starred in over 25 films (including At Close Range, Some Kind of Wonderful, Immediate Family  [National Board of Review Award] Fried Green Tomatoes, Benny and Joon), and numerous plays and musicals, including the Broadway musical, Nine [Tony Award nomination], National Anthems with Kevin Spacey at The Old Vic in London and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at The Kennedy Center.  In 2000, she wrote and directed the science fiction short, The Other Side, for Showtime’s Directed By series. In 2007, Mary Stuart directed and co-produced the award-winning feature film The Cake Eaters, which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.  Along with her brother (cinematographer/producer) Peter, and (producer/writer) Steven Weisman, Mary Stuart recently formed Barn Door Pictures, a film production company based in New York.  Tickling Leo is their first feature.

Maxim Dlugy '84 is a Grandmaster of chess. He was born on January 29, 1966 in Moscow, USSR. He arrived with his family in the United States in about 1979. He was a late developer and was only an average player for his age until he shot up in strength in the early 1980s. He was awarded the International Master title in 1982. He won the World Junior Chess Championship in 1985. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1986 at the World Chess Olympiad in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he played on the U.S. team that was in first place going into the last round. Always a superb speed chess player, Dlugy was formerly ranked number one in the world by the World Blitz Chess Association.  He emigrated to America when he was a young boy and first came to notice in 1984 when he finished 3rd in the U.S. Chess Championship. He was 2nd in New York 1985, 2nd in Clichy 1986-87 and 3rd in the 1987 U.S. Chess Championship.  Maxim was elected President of the United States Chess Federation in 1990.  Eventually, he became a principal of the Russian Growth Fund, a hedge fund.
