After School

Serendipity - Grades K-3

The Serendipity After School Program is available for all K-3 students.

The Serendipity After School Program is available for all K-3 students.  As an integral part of the Dalton experience, Serendipity serves as a safe, structured and supportive environment, inviting students to explore their natural curiosity through enriching and diverse class options.  We offer a range of courses including Language, Dance, Visual Art, Drama, Sports, Computers and much more!

Our instructional classes are typically integrated, encouraging students to create relationships across grade-level and classroom, deepening the sense of familiarity and community. Our Dalton High School Service Learning volunteers formalize the mentoring experience and provide a mutually rewarding bridge between Little and Big Dalton.

Fun House is available instead of instructional classes and is a structured but relaxed alternative, running concurrently with Serendipity classes.  Kids Club is our extended-day service and is available for sign up for the full semester or on an occasional drop in basis. In addition to an impressive array of onsite offerings, Serendipity also provides off-site alternatives for older FP students.

Families are encouraged to browse our Staff Page to meet our diverse and talented staff who are professionals in their fields. Our Staff is composed of Dalton Employees, Dalton Parents, and Outside Consultants.

  • Serendipity Sampler: Open House

Serendipity hosts a week-long Open House in the late Fall for interested Dalton families to visit and observe classes in order to see what we do up close. You are welcome to visit your child's current class, but the Sampler is designed so that parents and children can make informed choices about future class selections for the following term and have a sense of the program as a whole.
  • Serendipity and Encore! On Parade

Our end of the year evening extravaganza represents a window into year-long efforts and accomplishments via video and fine art displays and on-stage theatre performances and demonstrations. The After School Parade is a creative culmination of the After School year on both campuses and a chance for joyful community celebration!

Current Dalton families may Log in for additional community information about the After School Program, such as contact information, a detailed calendar, news, announcements, and photos.
