Dalton’s geographically diverse community spans over 100 zip codes. Four transportation options, although not actively managed by the Dalton School, are available for Dalton families to accommodate various locations. Families can opt into any of the transportation options over the summer.

  • Student OMNY Cards

    Families who live a mile from the school have the option of receiving a student OMNY card that is valid for four free rides each day. Dalton’s campuses are conveniently located near the 4/5/6 stop at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue, and the Q stop at 86th Street and Second Avenue.
  • Department of Education (DOE) Bus Service

    Department of Education (DOE) Bus Service offers free school bus service for Dalton students in grades K-6 who qualify within NYC's Office of Pupil Transportation eligibility for distance.
  • Private Bus Service via Earl's Transportation

    Private Bus Service via Earl's Transportation provides door-to-door service for Dalton First Program and Middle School students for an added cost.
  • Private Bus Service via Mario's Transportation

    Private Bus Service via Mario's Transportation is a morning-only outer borough bus service shared with other independent schools in the area. It serves students who live in the Bronx, Brooklyn, or Queens.
