As we begin a new academic year, I’m delighted to welcome your children back to school! Before the year gets busier, we wanted to share an overview of philanthropic opportunities and events at Dalton.
Our fundraising success is possible thanks to the school’s partnership with volunteers, and I’m grateful to those of you who already serve in this capacity. If you’re interested in volunteering, the Advancement office invites you to help with fundraising initiatives such as the Annual Fund or Dalton’s Spring Benefit 2027. Volunteering is a rewarding way to connect with fellow community members while also strengthening our school.

About Philanthropy at Dalton
Charitable giving at Dalton provides a meaningful investment in our students, faculty, staff, programs, and facilities. Our community’s generosity helps sustain the school’s long-term financial stability and shows outside donors, including foundations, that our families and alumni care deeply about Dalton’s future. Annual Fund 2026–2027
Each year, Dalton relies on the generosity of parents, alumni, faculty, staff, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends for a robust Annual Fund, which runs from July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027. As the school’s highest fundraising priority, a thriving Annual Fund benefits from broad community participation, and we ask you to contribute to the Annual Fund while considering additional philanthropic opportunities outlined below.
Your unrestricted, tax-deductible gift helps support our mission and is an immediate, tangible investment in our students’ lives, allowing us to respond to day-to-day needs and other pressing priorities as an essential supplement to tuition revenue and the endowment. Each year, the school asks Senior Class parents to contribute to both the Annual Fund and the Senior Class Gift. This one-time gift honors Dalton graduates while bestowing an enduring legacy from the graduating class to the school. Each fall, the Seniors vote on how they’d like to allocate this collective gift.
