The fourth annual Dalton Literary Festival (LitFest) began in November with a number of accomplished poets working with students in creative writing classes.
The events continued into the evening with the working-poets participating in an intimate reading and lively conversation with members of the Dalton community. A variety of talented authors participated in this year’s events: Allison Albino, Reuben Newman Gelley '17, Amanda Larson, Maya Poppa, and Nicole Sealey. The poets shared their recent work and talked about their experience pursuing writing as a career.
This year, for the first time, students and teachers from our Interschool peers were invited to attend. You can watch a recording of the evening events using the links below.
The festival, co-sponsored by the Creative Writing Program and the High School Library, is a year-long, two part event, focused on poetry in the fall and fiction in the spring. In April, LitFest will continue with the Dalton Prose Festival.
