Middle Schoolers Become the Teachers for World Language Day
To celebrate World Language Day, 45 students in grades 5-8 took on the role of language teachers by giving mini-lessons in over a dozen languages, including Danish, Dutch, French, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Patois, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
Their classmates signed up and were enrolled in a short class, which included lessons about the languages and cultures in our community. Topics included greetings, colors, numbers, and writing systems, along with games, cultural demonstrations, and quizzes. Congratulations to all of our excellent language teachers!
