Each year, the generosity of Dalton parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, staff and friends allows us to create exceptional opportunities and experiences for our students. Dalton welcomes your support to ensure ongoing excellence in developing intellectually independent, creative and curious students. Whether you are considering a gift to the Annual Fund that makes an immediate impact, or a gift to the Campaign that lasts for generations, your contribution to Dalton serves as a catalyst for change and empowers the next generation of Dalton students to Go Forth Unafraid.

  • Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all giving to Dalton and supports the ongoing day-to-day operational expenses of the School. It allows us to attract and retain talented faculty; provide exceptional academic, arts and athletic programs; and offer meaningful scholarship opportunities. For more information, please contact Hannah Wasserman Cobin at hcobin@dalton.org or 212-423-5316.
  • Centennial: Raise the Roof Campaign

With the School’s 100th birthday celebration approaching in April 2019, Dalton has embarked on an ambitious $100 million Centennial: Raise the Roof Campaign. Co-chairs are Cheryl Cohen Effron ’83, Eric Lee, Bruce Menin and Sabrina Smith.

This comprehensive campaign will support the addition of two floors atop the 89th Street building to house a state-of-the-art STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) facility. The new space will include large, flexible areas for collaborative work, group meetings, science fairs and art exhibits, a design project lab, teaching kitchen, and greenhouse.

The campaign will also fund the reconfiguration and renovation of existing floors at 89th Street. Plans call for a 21st-century library and modernized performance space for our dance program. In addition, the campaign will provide programmatic support for new and existing initiatives.

We are currently in the early phase of our fundraising efforts for this exciting and transformative project. Our results to date have been highly successful, and we hope to continue along this positive trajectory in the months and years ahead.

  • The Spring Benefit

The Spring Benefit is Dalton's annual community fundraiser. Proceeds help to provide additional funds so that all students have access to the many extracurricular student activities that Dalton offers. For more information, please contact Jessica Torres-Rosa at jtorres-rosa@dalton.org 212-423-5248.

  • Senior Class Gift

Parents of seniors are asked to make one meaningful, increased gift to Dalton that will be allocated 25% to the Senior Class Gift and 75% to the Annual Fund. The Senior Class Gift has become an essential Dalton tradition. Selected by seniors, this gift honors the graduating class while bestowing a meaningful legacy from the Class of 2017 to the school. The Annual Fund supports the day-to-day operational expenses of the school not covered by tuition. For more information, please contact Hannah Wasserman Cobin at hcobin@dalton.org or 212-423-5316.
