Liu explained how the Connection idea originated, shared behind-the-scenes tips and interesting Dalton anecdotes, and referenced experiences (and favorite TV shows) that shaped some of her puzzles. She closed the assembly with words of advice for students interested in puzzle-making.

Wyna began constructing crosswords in 2018 and had her first puzzle published in the American Values Club Crossword in January 2019. She joined The New York Times as an associate puzzle editor in 2020.
