Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball teams on qualifying for the NYSAIS Class B Postseason Tournament!

The Boys Varsity Basketball team secured the #6 seed following one of the best seasons the program has had in recent history, finishing regular season play with a 20-3 record and earning the Ivy League Championship title for the first time since 2019. They will face #3 seed Long Island Lutheran on the road in the quarterfinals on Thursday, February 19, at 5:00 PM at LUHI.

The Girls Varsity Basketball team delivered an exceptional regular season, finishing 17–5 and earning the #2 seed in the tournament. After graduating a strong senior class last year, the group embraced the challenge of stepping into new roles, and successfully maintained the program’s place among the league’s top teams. Dalton will host #7 seed Hackley in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, February 19 at 5:00 PM at Spence Gym, 312 East 90th Street.

The winter postseason is off to a strong start for the Tigers. Dalton Wrestling earned five medals at the NYSAIS Championship on Saturday, February 7, highlighted by individual state titles from Carlos Rohm ’26 and Errol Henry ’27. Dalton finished sixth overall in the team standings, with four Tigers advancing to compete at the New York State Wrestling Championships in Albany on February 28.

Both the Boys and Girls Squash teams qualified for the NYSAIS Tournament. The Girls earned a 5–2 postseason victory over Fieldston before falling to #2 seed Spence in the quarterfinal round. The Boys battled throughout their matchup but ultimately came up short against #3 seed Hackley.

Rounding out the winter postseason, the Indoor Track team will compete at the Ivy Championship on Wednesday, February 18 at 5:30 PM at The Armory. Athletes who qualify will advance to the NYSAIS Indoor Track Championship on Friday, February 28.
