A Great Year of Chess Ahead
Many Dalton students continued sharpening their chess skills and competed in tournaments this summer, while others enjoyed a well-deserved break.
The Dalton Summer Chess Camp was a highlight of the summer. Campers learned new skills, strengthened their chess, played plenty of games, and, most importantly, enjoyed meeting and making new friends.
Congratulations to Sammy Sen '30, who won a Bronze Medal at the Pan American Youth Chess Championships in Medellín, Colombia. Sammy had an outstanding performance and even had the opportunity to practice his Spanish along the way.
Kudos to all our campers and summer tournament players. We are looking forward to another exciting year of learning, competing, and enjoying chess together. More information on how your child can participate will be sent soon.
