This week, students from Dalton’s Dance Program joined dance faculty at New York City Center for the Fall for Dance Festival, seeing work by choreographers from across the field, including Cortege by Dalton alumni Baye & Asa (Amadi Washington ’10 and Samuel “Asa” Pratt ’10), performed by the Martha Graham Dance Company.
For our students, an evening like this is more than a chance to see great dancing. It is an opportunity to imagine what might be possible for their own creative lives. Baye & Asa are former DTW choreographers whose work is now being performed on one of New York’s great stages, offering a meaningful reminder of the possibilities that can grow from the work happening in Dalton’s studios.
