Fall "A Seat at the Table" Explores Principles in Practice

This fall’s A Seat at the Table brought members of the Dalton community together to explore Principles in Practice.
Through guided reflection and discussion, participants explored the Community Engagement and Belonging (CEB) guiding principles of community, support, learning, and character, while reflecting on the importance of empathy, holding space for different perspectives, and building stronger connections within the community.

Attendees engaged with shared language and values already embedded in Dalton’s community, strengthening their understanding of how these principles shape meaningful connections and belonging across the school. The group then participated in lessons pulled directly from the First Program, Middle and High School CEB student programs, gaining insight into the work with our students at each stage and how these skills develop throughout their years at Dalton.
