SCHEDULE AND INFORMATION
The In-Person Chess Camp will be held at First Program (91st Street), Fifth Floor.

Fee is $1,000. A sibling discount is available. Snacks will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. We will serve pizza and refreshments on Friday, August 22.

ALL LEVELS WELCOME
Open to Dalton students and their siblings from other schools, from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Note: Non-Dalton students will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE FOR IN-PERSON CAMP
8:45 AM-9:00 AM. Check-in and welcome 
9:00 AM-10:00 AM. Daily Tournament Game (5 rounds Swiss G/30 practice) One round per day. After each game, an Instructor analyzes the game with the two players.
10:00-10:15 AM. Snack break 
10:15-11:30 AM. Chess lesson and labs.
11:30 AM-12:00 PM. Playtime - roof and strategy games. 
12:00-12:40 PM Lunch break (Students should bring lunch. We will provide snacks each day and will have pizza on Friday)
12:40-1:30 PM Classroom sessions – instructors rotate to different groups.
1:30-2:20 PM Classroom sessions – instructors rotate to different groups.
2:20-2:30 PM Snack break 
2:30-3:30 PM Fun activities, including a bughouse tournament, a blitz tournament, and more! 
3:30 PM Dismissal
 
All campers receive an ID badge at the start of camp and Dalton Chess Team t-shirts. Chess sets, clocks, and pencils/pens will be provided, and each camper will receive a Dalton chess notation book. On Friday afternoon, we will present awards for the training tournament, bughouse tournament, puzzle challenge, and best daily game.

CHESS CAMP FEE AND REGISTRATION

Registration is open now. The deadline to register is Monday, August 12.
