bit by bit (breaking the barrier for girls in tech)

108 East 89th Street
Bit by Bit is a conference devoted to bringing together girls interested in computer science. Why? We believe that by gathering successful women with experiences to share, we can ensure that the female coders, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the future are prepared in an industry in which women are underrepresented.
Last year, the conference featured keynote speakers like Laura Butler, a distinguished engineer at Microsoft, Minerva Tantoco, the CTO of New York City, and Rachel Reinitz, the CTO of IBM Bluemix Garage. Our panels included topics like “Computer Science for Good,” “Computer Science in College,” “Computer Science and Software Engineering,” “Entrepreneurs,” and “Computer Science and Arts.”
The agenda for this year promises to be even more inspiring. We hope that you will join us at the Dalton School on April 30th, 2017, regardless of whether you see coding in your future. The panelists, mentors, and speakers have wisdom to share, all for free! All female-identified NYC high school students are welcome.
Breaking the barrier, bit by bit. Together, let’s increase visibility in the computer science industry.

Love,
The Bit by Bit Team
