Both teams held strong through the first half, heading into the break scoreless. Riverdale struck first early in the second half, but Dalton answered quickly. Just four minutes later, Bay Rowley '29 scored her first career high school goal to tie the game, and soon after Alex Henkin '29 added another to give Dalton the lead.

Riverdale tied the game with ten minutes remaining, forcing overtime. In the extra period, Dalton created several chances in front of the net before Winslow Rowley '27 broke through with the game-winning goal.

The victory adds to a strong start for Dalton this season.
