Author Nancy Krulik Visits First Program

Students at First Program were excited to meet the best-selling author, Nancy Krulik, writer of over 200 books for children. Before her visit on October 30, excerpts of her books were read aloud during library classes to the delight of all students. Favorite series included The Magic Bone, where a scrappy dog named Sparky has adventures all around the world with the help of his magic transporting bone!

Also beloved is the famous Katie Kazoo Switcheroo series, where a young Katie Carew sometimes feels a slight breeze on her neck that turns into a tornado, switcherooing her with another person or worse! An animal!

Perhaps the strongest reaction, however, came from the hysterical George Brown Class Clown series. A young boy named George tries so hard to be a good student, but his magical burps take over and have a life of their own. The burps take control of his body and make him do crazy, zany and often gross things that he does NOT want to do!
Nancy treated students to a sneak peek into her brand new George Brown Class Clown book, Revenge of the Killer Worms! She also shared a chapter of a new book from her Magic Bone series; Dogs Don't Have Webbed Feet. It was a promising opening for the First Program Book Fair, where many of Nancy's autographed books were available for students.
