House 16 celebrated Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. Akriti, Sonal, Himayani, and Punita (some of our moms) gave an outstanding presentation about the various aspects of Diwali. They gave us a unique, close look at their Holiday that we couldn't have gained in any other way. We want to publically thank them so much for giving us their time and an unparalleled cultural experience.  

 

The children (and their teachers) enjoyed immensely...the painting of the Diyas, the jeweled bags, flags, pencils, and Akriti's recipe for homemade Indian ice-cream was a big hit!  It gave our children a wonderful and new appreciation of Indian Culture….and was fun!
