Can We Persuade You? - House 37 Students Study Meaningful Charities
First Program students collected Coins for Change. We gathered $2,330.00 worth of coins to donate to charities of our choice. The students in House 37 studied the "Wheel of Caring" to determine causes that are meaningful to the students in FP. Based on the data, each student chose a charity/organization that he or she researched, wrote a persuasive essay and created PowerPoint presentations.
House 37 narrowed the list to six favorite charities: Charity Water, American Red Cross, The Fund for Public Schools, Make-a-Wish, The Autism Science Foundation, and World Wildlife Fund - saving the Iberian Lynx.
The entire FP community will vote for four charities to see what organizations will receive the Coins for Change money.
Great Work First Program!
