MS Spanish Students Visit Jackson Heights, Queens
Sudents from Dr. Campos, Dr. David, and Mr. San Juan's 8th grade Spanish 3MS classes took a trip to Jackson Heights, Queens, on June 7, 2016. The middle school students have been studying about Latin American food and folklore. They practiced their Spanish speaking skills by ordering batidos de frutas/tropical fruit smoothies at Pollos Mario Restaurant.
The students were treated to a typical Colombian lunch with arepa con queso/cheese with corn cake, yuca frita/fried yucca, arroz con frijoles/rice and beans, carne molida/ground beef, pollo rostisado/roast chicken and other delicacies. ¡Qué rico!
