Dalton Debate Team Competes in Georgetown Public Forum Invitational
Ten Daltonians were among 304 high schoolers who traveled to Washington, DC to participate in the 2019 Georgetown Public Forum Invitational debate tournament.
Tenzin Sangmo '23 and Annabelle Eng '23 represented Dalton in the Novice Division while Sam Schollenberger '23, Lucas Ribadeneira '23, Arjun Mehra '22, and Lucas Zhang '22, participated in the Junior Varsity division.
Alejandro Breen '22, Rebecca Solomon '21, JJ Yu '21, and Leo Yu '23 progressed to the tournament's elimination rounds with Alejandro and Rebecca reaching the quarterfinals and JJ and Leo completing the Sweet Sixteen round. In individual rankings, Leo was honored as the 6th best speaker overall, while JJ was recognized as the 2nd best speaker overall.
