DaltonGrow had its first harvest in the new greenhouse space on the 14th floor last week.
School grown foodstuffs included sweet peppers, Persian cucumbers, fennel, rainbow chard, and other herbs and greens. All of the produce grew organically in student maintained hydroponic systems; students made dinner in the teaching kitchen that night using this produce. Peppers and tomatoes are ripening this week, and herbal tea plants are starting to mature. Stop by the 14th floor to try some!
