Dalton Girls Shine at Spence Chess Tournament
Both Kindergarten and first grade girls won first place in the Spence All-Girls Chess Tournament.
The first grade team members were Stella Olim with a perfect score of 4/4, Devi Tsuboyama and Mia Jia came in with a score of 3/4 and Natalie Lubetzky scored 2.5/4. The Kindergarten team members were Mackenzie Brown, MacKenzie Hwee, and Cece Pitluck.
Eden Lily Klein and Lily Rae Feuerstein played strongly in the Reserve Section, which was open for experienced players.
We are proud of our Chess Team members and congratulate them for their noteworthy achievements; they represented Dalton with grace and excellent sportsmanship.
