Dalton’s Women in STEM Club Organizes Panel Event with Alums
The Dalton Women in STEM club heads Leyla Jacoby '21, Victoria Martin '22, and Shravya Pant '22 organized a panel event, WiSTEM, on May 9 featuring four Dalton alums who are now in women in STEM professions: Carla Altaras '10 (Strategy and Operations Manager at Google), Tolulope Edionwe '11 (Software Engineer at The Atlantic), Tameir Holder '04 (Senior Project Coordinator at Clinical Directors Network), and Parijat Samant '09 (Business Manager to the Chief Operating Officer at Two Sigma).
Students from Dalton, and across the country, attended this virtual discussion to hear about the experience of being a woman in STEM. The panelists talked about their personal accomplishments and offered advice. The WiSTEM club is now organizing a digital exhibit of high school girls' STEM projects; all Dalton high school students who identify as female are welcome to submit!
