The 6th-grade students in Dr. Warren's 3D modeling class used their skills for good this Trimester by designing and 3D-printing mask straps.
This offers a way to wear a mask that doesn’t involve looping elastic around your ears and is designed to relieve ear pain. The students learned about how to design a model specifically for 3D printing and how to make the object flexible, and then students designed their own custom straps. Check out the accompanying video for a preview of how the mask straps are created.
