Dalton’s HOLA Club and the Parents Association’s Latinx/Hispanic Group co-hosted First Program families for a Spanish Storytime & Activities Co-Lab on Wednesday, April 21.
The fun-filled event included four enriching and educational activities:
Spanish Storytime led by Max C. ’22 & First Program Parent Luz Gandulla-Hutson
Cultural Share-Out led by Angelie ’24, Isabella ’22 & Staff Advisor Ilia Castro, and High School parent Raquel Da Rosa
Sing-Along and Dance Party led by Adeline ’24 & First Program Educator Natalia Malone Hernandez, First Program parent Giselle Huron

During the cultural share-out led by Angelie, Isabella, Ilia, and Raquel, participants shared items from Ecuador, Australia, Czechoslovakia, Argentina, and Puerto Rico. One highlight of the event was an energetic sing-along dance party with 22 participants!
Later in the evening, Sam and Gloria guided participants on a tasty culinary adventure, cooking up chicken quesadillas, and preparing guacamole. In addition, Sergio and Luz read books in both English and Spanish to a Zoom audience of more than 20 participants.
The two groups are thankful to all who participated and look forward to the next event!
