Children’s Author Oge Mora Visits First Program
Children’s book illustrator and author Oge Mora visited the First Program on Friday, October 29.
Mora’s picture book Thank You, Omu!, earned a Caldecott Honor, a Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award, and is an Ezra Jack Keats Book Award recipient. Her second book, Saturday won the 2020 Boston Globe-Horn Book Picture Book Award.
This fall, Dalton third graders are studying Mora's work and creating their own collages inspired by her art style. Many of the student collages are displayed outside of the FP library.
