The HawtPlates feat. Morley and Chris Bruce Deliver Soulful Performance at HS Assembly
High School students jammed along to the soulful sounds of The HawtPlates featuring Morley and Chris Bruce at this week’s assembly at the Martin Theater.
The group’s lyrics speak to the challenges of being working-class citizens in the modern world, while the music draws inspiration from r&b, folk, mantra, gospel, and various vocal traditions.
Students enjoyed the rhythmic performance, which blended improvisation and conceptual vocal works.
